Introducing Local Veteran Spotlights
At Homefront Heroes of Portage County, we believe every veteran’s story deserves to be heard, honored, and preserved. Our Veteran Spotlight Series is a new initiative dedicated to highlighting local Portage County veterans through brief, casual, filmed interviews that allow them to share their personal stories in their own words.
Each spotlight will consist of a relaxed, approximately 30-minute conversation, focused on the veteran’s time in service, their experiences, and the moments that shaped their journey. These interviews are designed to be informal and respectful—simply a chance for veterans to reflect, connect, and be recognized by the community they served.
We invite community members to nominate local veterans who are willing to participate in this series. Selected veterans will be featured on our website and social media platforms, creating a lasting record of their service and ensuring their stories continue to inspire future generations.
Nominations for our inaugural Veteran Spotlight Series will open soon, with the first featured interviews launching in 2026.
